Thailand Rain!

HI !
I was planning to visit Chiang Mai this weekend to see the Loy Krathong festival but just saw on the news about the heavy rains in Thailand. Will this make travel to Chiang Mai & the surrounding areas a problem ? Are there any safety concerns ?

Hi Suparna

The rain you mention I assume is the heavy flooding & storms still happening in the south of Thailand.

The rainy season in the north of Thailand & particularly the Chiang Mai area is now over.....we have lovely sunny & hot days again with cooler evenings approaching.......please take the time out to visit Chiang Mai for the Loy Krathong & Yee Peng Festivals......you will love it!.
