When asked about Thailand destinations, the first image that comes to mind I am sure is similar to the scene above!,”blue skies that appear to go on forever, crystal clear mirror-glass still seas, mysterious rugged landscapes in the distance & the quintessential Thai longtail boat adorned in brightly coloured cloths”.
This is the same kind of image that adorns every travel website or leisure brochure that “sells the sizzle” to get people excited about a visit to the Kingdom, and start the online search to find budget friendly hotels. But, Thailand IS NOT just about the fabulous beaches & islands of the south, the whole country is jam packed full of great places and “New Life Experiences” just waiting to be uncovered.
On a personal note, one experience I would thoroughly recommend is a visit to a Muay Thai Camp, whether just to see Thailand’s national sport in the flesh or to actually join a program, you get to see real Thailand!.
As soon as you land at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport you immediately get the feeling that you have arrived in no ordinary place, the colours are vivid, scenery is breathtaking & “the locals” SMILE, you can’t help but feel at ease!.
