Night Entertainment Area in Chiang Mai

Many thanks for your question, the main entertainment areas in Chiang Mai after dark are generally the night markets, bars & clubs & tourist spots, these can be found at:

Night Bazaar Chiang Mai’s most famous night market open every night of the year lots of stalls, shops bars & restaurants.

Sunday Walking Street Market – personally I prefer this market to the Night Bazaar, a lot less touristy & just great fun to amble around!.

Nimmanhemin Road is the road that stretches between the Amari Rincome Hotel & Chiang Mai University it’s the “hippest” area of Chiang Mai lots of small fashion boutiques, shops, bars, pubs & restaurants. It also has a warren of side streets that lead from it also housing yet more bars & restaurants. Very popular tourist area has a real friendly feel about the whole area!.

Tha Pae Gate area is a very popular tourist destination, lots of the main hotels & accommodation are located around the old city walls & moat with lots of choices of places to eat, drink & generally be merry!.

There are lots of other smaller areas dotted around the city that have social gatherings each evening, the ones I have covered are the main ones supported by tourism.
