Looking For Furniture & Jewelry From Chiang Mai, Thailand

We (me and my husband) are from Namibia and visiting Thailand at the end of October 2010. We want to go to Chiang Mai to look for furniture and jewelry that we can maybe sell here. Can you help me with a few suggestions on good places and prices to go to. Any other suggestions that you might have will be welcome also.

To answer your questions:

Furniture is made all around the Chiang Mai area, but start by visiting : Ban Tawai Handicrafts Village

Local handmade jewelry, if you are looking for the "hilltribe silver" check out this page from our website: Karen Hilltribe Silver Jewelry if you are wanting the handmade articles using different colored stones & beads visit Ban Tawai handicrafts village, there are quite a few sellers there who will be happy to help you.

Kevin Hi,

Thanks for your reply but I am looking for certain things in Chiang Mai. Cow skin trunks en decorative trunks, metal furniture that you can use in your house ..... I have seen this in a lot of shops. Then I am also looking for a bead shop in Chiang Mai. I have been there 2 x now and I have baught lovely furniture and it is in my shop here in Namibia. Please if you can help me perhaps with the above as I am coming again in december to chiang mai.
