Chiang Mai Thailand Memory of 29 years ago

My first time in Chiang Mai, Thailand was 29 years ago.

I spent about 4 weeks back then in Chiang Mai and had a wonderful time. Of course I also made a trip up to Chiang Rai and to the Golden Triangle back then to visit the Hill Tribes.

29 years ago there was hardly any cars in Chiang Mai. Most people were riding bicycles. Very slow paced City back then and compared to Bangkok or Pattaya it still is slow paced today. It was a lot different then it is today.

Last time I was in Chiang Mai was in February 2009 and it is still a very beautiful City to visit.(or retire to)

I am sure I will be visiting Chiang Mai soon again since I won't be living in Pattaya forever. Chiang Mai should be on anyone's itinerary travel who is visiting Thailand.
