chiang mai elephant program

By | November 16, 2012

Hi, I am a single mum looking to travel with my 8yr old daughter. I am a little nervous – is it quite safe to travel on our own? We are thinking of doing the week volunteer program at the park and then a couple days looking about chiang mai. We would fly into bangkok and train it to chiang mai – thinking of coming in november this year. Is it expensive to stay here?
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards
Michelle

Visiting Chiang Mai
by: Kevin(Webmaster)

Hi Michelle

Many thanks for visiting our website & your questions.

Chiang Mai & Thailand overall are completely safe many single people visit without incident every year.

The Thai’s naturally love children(particularly Western children!) so you can be expected to be “adopted” everywhere you go!.

In terms of when to visit, end of November is the start of the high season in Thailand, if you are wanting to save money…..visit end of October(end of rainy season) through until end November, you can usually get better value accommodation at that time of year.

I am sure you will have a wonderful time & please remember to revisit our website & send us some of your fabulous memories!.

Kind Regards
Kevin
